Dropbox: More Than 68 Million Accounts Details Leak

Several media outlets are reporting that Dropbox has been hacked. It is estimated that over 66 million users’ email addresses and passwords were dumped on the internet.

The credentials obtained originate from a known 2012 data breach. Dropbox has already confirmed the breach, and notified its customers but failed to give an exact number of affected users.

Dropbox disclosed the data breach in 2012, after one of its employee passwords was used to access a file that contained email addresses.

If you are using Dropbox, change your passwords immediately, specially if you use the same for different websites. If you are searching for a Dropbox alternative, try our business grade solution, vBoxxCloud.
